On January 11, 2006, the University filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit a Petition for Review of the National Labor Relations Board's decision to uphold the election results regarding representation of the part-time faculty by Local 500 of the Service Employees International Union. The Court of Appeals granted the Petition for Review and established a schedule for the filing of briefs by the parties.  Consistent with that schedule, on June 27, 2006, the University filed its brief with the Court of Appeals. It is expected that the National Labor Relations Board and the SEIU Local 500 will file briefs in response, based on the Court’s scheduling order.  Additional updates will be available via this Web site.
