On January 11, 2006, the University filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit a Petition for Review of the National Labor Relations Board's decision to uphold the election results regarding representation of the part-time faculty by Local 500 of the Service Employees International Union. The University continues to believe that the election was flawed because the number of potential voters who were disenfranchised was determinative of the results of the election.
