Happy Days

It was a time when the Colonial Cruise and Derby Days were the highlights of GW's social calendar, the university's football team played at RFK Stadium, and Quigley's was the place to be.

In honor of the 50th reunion of the class of 1961, GW's Special Collections Research Center has posted more than 100 photos of life at GW from 1956 to 1961 on the photo-sharing website Flickr. For a walk down memory lane—or to take a peek at what campus looked like a half-century ago—the photos are available for all to view at go.gwu.edu/1961.
