Throughout February, March, and April, the Office of Alumni Relations went across the nation to visit and mingle with our alums. Teaming up with the Office of Admissions, alumni had the unique opportunity to interact with newly admitted students and to share insight and experience. Alumni also had the chance to reminisce with each other and various faculty members. Washington Nationals Outing
More than 125 Law alumni enjoyed an exciting Nationals v. Dodgers game on May 31 at RFK Stadium. Guests enjoyed unlimited snacks, an air-conditioned suite, and front row seats to a Nationals victory!

Lawyers Have Heart 10K Race
Lawyers Have Heart 10K Race and Fun Walk on the GW Law Alumni Team. Two days prior to the race, runners were treated to a spaghetti dinner at the Law School to help prepare and meet their teammates.

Olive Oil Tasting in Boston
On April 25, alumnus John McBride, JD ’93, hosted a group of law alumni at the historic Union Club in Boston to learn about olive oil imported from Israel. Alumni socialized and tasted Manzanilla, Barnea, and Soury olive oils, and learned the finer points about gourmet olive oil.

Stockton Guard Brunch and Induction Ceremony
On May 20, Law alumni who graduated in 1957 and earlier enjoyed an elegant brunch before being inducted into the “Stockton Guard,” a special alumni status reserved for those who graduated 50 years ago or more. This year, the induction was led by Grand Marshal and Convenor, Hon. Ruth C. Burg, JD ’50. The Stockton Guard then marched in the Law School graduation processional.

On May 5, Law alumni in Atlanta met for light hors d’oeuvres, then headed over to Turner Field to watch the Braves play the Dodgers.

On May 23, Law alumni representing six different decades met for cocktails and jazz at the swanky Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston. Hosted by Brad Irelan, JD ’86.

On June 4, 2007, Senior Associate Dean Steven Schooner welcomed our newest members of the Virginia Bar at a brunch at the Virginia Bar Swearing-In Ceremony in Richmond, Va.

Senior Associate Dean Steven L. Schooner, LLM ’89, hosted several alumni for breakfast in Virginia Beach, Va., in conjunction with the annual Virginia State Bar meeting on June 16.
