Belva Ann Lockwood Award Luncheon

The Law Association for Women presented the Belva Ann Lockwood Award to Carol Elder Bruce, JD ’74, at a luncheon in the Michael K. Young Faculty Conference Center on March 31. The award is given to honor Lockwood, who earned a law degree from GW in 1973, and her enduring legacy as a women’s rights pioneer.

 

 

 

 

 


Newly Admitted Student Receptions

Throughout February and March, the Law Alumni Relations office hosted receptions for newly admitted students nationwide. With help from alumni hosts, prospective students met with GW Law alumni, deans, faculty members, and current students at receptions in Philadelphia, Miami, New York, Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago.

 

 

 


Old Guard Celebrates At Commencement

Russell E. Carlisle, JD ’55, served as Grand Marshal and Edward O. Ansell, JD ’55, served as Convenor of this year’s gathering of the Old Guard—which is composed of members from the Class of 1955 and earlier classes. Members of the Old Guard convened for brunch during the morning of this year’s Commencement and participated in this year’s ceremony.
