Les accents!
pour PC ; pour MAC ; Smartphones et Tablettes

Sur PC (Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista et XP)-

Pour modifier votre clavier (keyboard):
1) Cliquez sur Start, Control Panel, Regional and Language Options OU sur "Clock, Language and Region" et puis, pour Windows 8 et 10, "Change Input methods"

Si vous ne voyez pas "Regional and Language Options":
VISTA: Cliquez sur "Classic View"
XP: Cliquez sur "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options" sous "Pick a Category"

2a) WINDOWS 10:
- Cliquez sur "Options",
- Sous " Add input method", sélectionnez "United States - International", puis cliquez sur "Add".
- Allez à "5)".

2b) WINDOWS 8:
- Choisissez "Options", puis "English Language Pack" (à télécharger (to download) si nécessaire)
- Allez à "3)".

2c) WINDOWS 7 & VISTA:
- Choisissez Keyboard and Languages et cliquez sur Change Keyboards.
- Cliquez sur General Tab, puis sur Add.
- Allez à "3)".

2d) XP:
- Choisissez Languages et cliquez sur Details.
- Cliquez sur Add.
- Allez à "3)".

3) Sous Keyboard layout/IME, cliquez sur United States-International, puis OK.

4) Dans la case (the box) "Default input language" vous devriez avoir maintenant le choix entre English (United States) - US et English (United States) - United States-International. Choisissez celui-ci (the latter) et cliquez sur OK.

5) Un rectangle devrait apparaître en haut de votre écran, ou en bas à droite, avec la possibilité de choisir "United States-International".
Windows 10: If you do not see the keyboard icon, you may need to right-click on the toolbar (bottom of your screen) and select "Show touch keyboard".

Les accents se feront donc de la manière suivante:

l'accent aïgue: la touche ' + une lettre (' + e = é)
l'accent grave: la touche ` + une lettre (` + e = è)
l'accent circonflexe: la touche Shift + ^ + une lettre (^ + e = ê)
le cédille: la touche ' + la lettre (ç ou Ç)
le tréma: la touche " + une lettre (" + e = ë)

(Si vous voulez une simple apostrophe, il faut taper ' + une espace.)

**Si vous ne voulez pas (ou vous ne pouvez pas) changer votre clavier, vous pouvez copier et coller (cut & paste) les lettres avec accents de la liste suivante si nécessaire:

Sur MAC-

for: é hold option key down and type e, then release and
type e

for: à, ò, ù, è hold option key down and type `, then release and
type a (o, u, e)

for: ô, â, ê, î, û hold option key down then type i, then release and
type o (a, e, i, u)

for: ç hold option key down and type c

for: Ç hold option and shift keys down and type c

for: ë (ä, ï, ö, ü) hold option key down and type u, then release and
type e (a, i, o, u)

SMARTPHONES et TABLETTES-

Pour iPhone et Android, il suffit normalement d'appuyer sur une lettre pour pouvoir choisir la même lettre avec un accent.
(...you normally need only press and hold a letter in order to chose the same letter with an accent.)
