Graduate School of Education and Human Development

Students in the Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) may apply for merit-based fellowships, assistantships and tuition reduction awards. Students interested in applying for fellowships or assistantships must submit a completed application for admission by January 15. Applicants to on-campus GSEHD programs who apply online have the opportunity to apply for merit-based tuition support as part of the GW Graduate Application. Continuing students who wish to apply for support may use the online application on the GSEHD website. GSEHD students may apply for cooperative education opportunities; in the past, students have obtained positions as training specialists, job coaches, public programmers, research assistants, counselors, and teachers. The Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships also offers opportunities for GSEHD students. These fellowships have varying deadlines, eligibility requirements and applications.
