D.C. Daughters of American Revolution Graduate Scholarship

Purpose and Eligibility

Applicants must be United States citizens and incoming or current GW Master's candidates, enrolled for at least six credits a semester with a GPA of at least 3.25 (undergraduate if incoming, graduate if current). In addition, they must be in one of the following fields:

Master's programs in CCAS:

  • MA – American Studies (preference with a focus in historic preservation or in the years 1607-1830)
  • MA – History (preference with a focus in historic preservation or in the years 1607-1830)
  • MA – Museum Studies (with a focus on American Fine/Decorative Arts)

Academic year tuition awards are up to $3,500 for part-time, up to $7,000 for full-time and are stackable. Semester only (fall or spring) awards will be considered. Applicants should reach out to their department of study (American Studies, History or Museum Studies).

Recipients of this award will be invited to attend DCDAR events.

*If you receive another award, you will need to check with the other unit (GW department or school) to ensure that award is also stackable and can be combined with this award. Note that the total of combined awards cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
