Pringsheim Flagellate Medium

This is good for a wide variety of photosynthetic forms

To 200 mls of spring water in a beaker add:
0.2 gm Sodium Acetate (Na acetate 3H2O)
0.4 gm Tryptone
0.2 gm Yeast extract

Bring to a boil on the hot plate. When cool pour into a Erlenmeyer flask. Label flask with date and type of media. Cover the flask with parafilm. To use, pour into culture tubes or petri dishes and inoculate with protists.
