GW’s College of Professional Studies Announces New Degree in Molecular Biotechnology

The George Washington University’s College of Professional Studies has announced a new Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree in molecular biotechnology. The master’s degree in molecular biotechnology will provide graduates with knowledge and skills for designing biotechnology devices, analyzing the data they produce and participating in their commercialization. Sponsored by a grant from the Council of Graduate Schools and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, graduates will be well positioned to take advantage of emerging opportunities in high-tech and pharmaceutical fields.

“The current job market desperately needs people with both science and business knowledge and skills,” said Ali Eskandarian, associate dean of GW’s College of Professional Studies. “MPS candidates in molecular biotechnology will benefit from a diverse curriculum that will serve them throughout their careers.”
