JANUARY 16–MARCH 14
Exhibition: Out of the Chateau: The Works from the Demuth Museum. The first-ever touring exhibition and catalog of the permanent collection of the Demuth Museum, which comprises more than 30 works that span the career of modernist artist Charles Demuth. The Luther W. Brady Art Gallery, Media and Public Affairs Building, 805 21st Street, NW. Gallery hours are Tuesday– Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Interior Design Thesis Exhibition. Presentation of a wide range of interior design MFA projects. Dimock Gallery, 21st and H streets, NW. Tuesday– Thursday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., and Friday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Ambassadors Forum: Perspectives on the EU Presidency. Joao de Vallera, ambassador of Portugal, Samuel Zbogar, ambassador of Slovenia, and Klaus Scharioth, ambassador of Germany, will participate in the forum. Martin Luther King Jr. Award Program and Dessert Reception. Honoring the contributions of outstanding GW community members who personify the ideals embodied in the life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Marvin Center Grand Ballroom. 6–7 p.m.

WEDNESDAY / JANUARY 23
$ Performance: Richard Thompson. Accompanied by vocalist Judith Owen and percussionist/vocalist Debra Dobkin, Thompson will cover 1,000 years of popular music, including selections from Gilbert and Sullivan, Ray Charles, Hank Williams, and the Beatles. 8 p.m. Lisner Auditorium, 21st and H streets, NW. $ Performance: Flamenco Festival 2008: Quatro Esquinas (Four Corners). Two of flamenco’s leading singers, Carmen Linares and Miguel Poveda, perform with guitarist Juan Carlos Romero and dancer Pastora Galván. 8 p.m. Lisner Auditorium, 21st and H streets, NW. $ Performance: Flamenco Festival 2008: Gala Flamenca: Mujeres.

FEBRUARY 14–15
$ Performance: Flamenco Festival 2008: Ballet Flamenco Eva Yerbabuena.
