Exhibition: The Franz and Virginia Bader Fund: Artists of the First Three Years. Since 2002, the Franz
and Virginia Bader Fund has provided grants to Washington, D.C., area artists that enable them to work on their art. Recipients from the first three years are represented in this unique exhibition. Sports: Staff Winter Basketball Tournament. Join fellow staff members for a four-day double elimination tournament with the championship game to be held on Jan. 19. Lecture: Promoting Economic Growth in the Arab World. Her Excellency Husina Sultan Ahmed Al-Mughairy, ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman,

Lecture: “Inside the Bush White House: A Conversation with Press Secretary Tony Snow.” Fresh from the State of the Union and the political battles of Washington, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow will visit the Jack Morton Auditorium at GW at 7:30 p.m. The event will be moderated by GW Professor of Media and Public Affairs and CNN Special Correspondent Frank Sesno, and will include questions from the audience. Snow will address issues relating to the president’s new strategy for Iraq, prospects for that war-torn country, and America’s military commitments there and beyond. Martin Luther King, Jr., Award Program. Honoring the contributions of outstanding GW community members who personify the ideals embodied in the life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Marvin Center Continental Ballroom. 6 p.m.
