Exhibition: Unforgotten: Slave Quarters and other African American Sites
Paintings by Sherry Zvares Sanábria, B.A. ’59, will be on display at GW’s Virginia Campus in Ashburn.

This step competition, hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Nu Beta Chapter, features representatives from multicultural Greek-letter organizations. The Kalb Report: The Business of Business Reporting
Four of the nation's top business reporters—Alexis Glick, Fox Business Network; Diana Henriques, The New York Times; Steve Pearlstein, Washington Post; and Ali Velshi, CNN—will join moderator Marvin Kalb to explore the current economic crisis and the roles journalists have played in this evolving story. The Kalb Report is produced by GW's Global Media Insitute, Harvard's Joan Shorenstein Center, and the National Press Club and is underwritten by a grant from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. 8 p.m. National Press Building, 13th Floor. 14th and F streets, NW. Inequality and Poverty in the Global Economy: Bailing Out the World’s Poorest
This lecture, given by Martin Ravallion of the World Bank, focuses on the impact of the financial crisis and rising food and fuel prices on poverty, inequality, and human development, and which policies would be most successful in protecting the poor and vulnerable. 4–5:15 p.m. 1957 E St., NW, room 505. This concert of vocals, piano, and dance features award-winning artists from the prestigious Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla. 8 p.m.

$ Performance: Antonio Gades Company: Carmen
Based on Carlos Saura’s Oscar-winning film, Carmen is the masterpiece that brought choreographer Antonio Gades and his company to international fame. Carmen stars more than 30 dancers and musicians and includes music from Bizet’s opera. 8 p.m.

WEDNESDAY / FEB. 25 and THURSDAY / FEB. 26
$ Performance: Los Farruco
This program features Los Farruco, the first family of flamenco dance, known for its electrifying performances of the Spanish Gypsy art. 8 p.m.
