GW Gets Ranked

Programs Rate as Best in the Country

GW’s Law School, Graduate School of Education and Human Development, and graduate programs in health and public affairs were ranked among the nation’s best in the latest “America’s Best Graduate Schools” issue of US News & World Report, which hit the streets April 8.

The GW Law School is tied for 25th on this year’s list. Among law specialties, GW’s intellectual property law program is ranked second in the nation. The international law program moved up four slots to sixth, while the environmental law program is ranked ninth. The Law School also was recognized as having one of the most racially diverse student bodies in the nation, ranking 15th on the list for “Law School Diversity.”

The Graduate School of Education and Human Development is ranked 35th in the country — and is listed 11th among 188 private institutions granting doctoral degrees surveyed this year.

The magazine also included its most recent analysis of various health professions, where GW’s physician assistant program is ranked second in the nation, the rehabilitation counseling program is ranked seventh, and the speech-language pathology program is 30th.
