Holiday Party Dec. 16

The annual all-University Holiday Party, a staple of the GW community, will be held Dec. 16 in the Marvin Center’s Cafritz Conference Center, from 2–4:30 pm.

GW’s traditional wealth of charitable activities dominate the spotlight, although great food, entertainment and the customary raffle for fabulous prizes are sure to please. Activities such as Adopt-A-Family, which solicits gifts and donates them to families in need; Toys for Tots, the long-standing charitable drive run by GW’s NROTC; the Faculty/Staff DC Scholarship Program, which raises funds for scholarships for students from DC schools; and a greeting card program that sends holiday greetings to GW Hospital patients and residents of St. Mary’s Court will be available for faculty and staff participation during this season of giving. Holiday participants also may bring a can of food to the Dec. 16 event and be entered into a special prize drawing.

Back by popular demand is the door decorating contest. A committee from around the University will vote on their favorite doors and award ribbons for the best and most creative efforts.

Volunteers are needed to help manage and steer these activities. Those interested can contact Sandra Little, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, at 994-3620, or E-mail her at msdsll@gwumc.edu.
