Information Systems and Services Recognized for Use
of Technology in Support of Higher Education
Two higher education technology organizations — the Association for
Communications Technology Professionals in Higher Education (ACUTA) and
EDUCAUSE — have recognized the University for its development of
innovative technology products that support and improve higher education
processes.
In July, Information Systems and Services received ACUTA’s Award
for Institutional Excellence in Communications Technology. The honor acknowledged
GW’s Enterprise Portal Solution, GWEB, conceived and developed by
Administrative Applications’ Interactive Multimedia Applications
Group (IMAG).
EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit association promoting the use of information technology,
lauded GW for its Online Housing Selection Program, developed by IMAG
and Banner Applications, in collaboration with University Housing.
