GWs Class of 200405
University Welcomes the Newest Members of Its Academic
Community
Seventy-nine new minds joined the ranks of the full-time faculty
this fall, bringing diverse backgrounds to their new positions. Many of
these professors are now part of the GW academic family to support the
Universitys Strategic Plan for Academic Excellence, which focuses
on specific disciplines, the University Writing Program and graduate teaching
assistants, among other areas. Some of these new faces represent changes
in emphasis for academia and society, such as professors in Arabic and
in technologies. Some faculty members come from the halls of influence
in Washington to share their knowledge with students and the community.
