Kennedy Questions US/Iraq Policy

Senator Critical of Bush Plan During Address

Sen. Edward Kennedy (D–MA) delivered an ominous warning to the nation in a speech entitled “The Effect of the War in Iraq on America’s Security” from the Jack Morton Auditorium in GW’s Media and Public Affairs Building Sept. 27.

In his remarks, Sen. Kennedy laid out 13 points where he believes US policy in Iraq has gone astray, putting America at risk. Leading the list is the “failure to finish the job in Afghanistan,” followed by defeating Al Qaeda and bringing Osama bin Laden to justice.
