New Freshman Advising Workshops
As part of the effort to link
academic guidance and intellectual engagement in order to challenge
students, CCAS has restructured freshman advising workshops (FAWs) in
three ways:
• All FAWs will have a more academic emphasis
• A set of FAWs will be connected specifically to Dean’s Seminars
• A large FAW led by three master teachers and staffed by seven
experienced faculty will focus on a timely theme, this year human rights
in a time of crisis, in order to provide content-based advising and
exploration of GW’s possibilities
