GW Ranks Seventh Among Peace Corps Volunteers
With 44 alumni actively serving as volunteers overseas, GW ranked seventh
nationally in the Peace Corps’ annual list of volunteer-producing
medium-size colleges and universities, up from 12th last year.
“This ranking is a manifestation of GW students who remain committed
to making the world a better place once they leave Foggy Bottom,”
said University President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg. “The spirit
of volunteerism is very high at GW and we take great pride in knowing
that the number of Peace Corps volunteers who are GW alumni is increasing.”
