GW Launches Office of Grad Life

In an effort to more directly address the non-academic needs of GW’s graduate and professional students, the Student and Academic Support Services and the Dean of Students Office have teamed up to create the Office of Grad Life.

The initiatives introduced as part of the new office include a Graduate Life Programming Committee, a Grad Life Student Forum and a monthly jazz series at the UClub called “UJazz It Up.”

The new office managed by Associate Dean of Students Michael Walker will be unveiled during a week-long celebration of graduate studies at GW, “Grad Life Week” March 8–12. The festivities include guest lectures on financing graduate education as well as Career Center services March 9, from 5–8 pm in the Strong Hall piano lounge; Cinema Draft House, March 9, 8–11 pm in the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom; Grad Night at Crossfire, including a post-show reception, March 10, starting at 4:30 pm in GW’s Media and Public Affairs Building; Grad Night at the Hippodrome March 11, 8–11 pm; and a 3-on-3 co-ed volleyball tournament, March 12, 4–9 pm, at the Lerner Family Health and Wellness Center.
