GW Alum Assumes DC Chamber Chair

As GW President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg ended his term as chair of the DC Chamber of Commerce, he handed the reins over to a fellow Colonial: GW law alumna Natalie Ludaway, J.D. ’86.

“It is a tremendous time to be a part of the DC chamber,” said Ludaway, a managing member at the law firm Leftwich & Ludaway LLC. “We truly represent the ‘voice of business’ in the District.” Her goals for the chamber, which represents more than 2,000 area businesses and institutions, include improving work force preparedness and boosting business and economic development.

Ludaway has been named to the Washingtonian’s lists of 100 most powerful women and 100 people to watch. Her law practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on telecommunications and employment law.
