A Word on Weather

If the skies turn gray and the sleet and snow start to fall, University officials would like to remind faculty and staff that they may still tune to local radio and television stations to confirm the University’s status. However, media outlets can get confused between cancellation of classes and a rare closing of the University, so when in doubt it’s always best to call GW’s recorded information line (202/994-5050) or visit the Campus Advisories Web site (www.gwu.edu/~gwalert/) for the most up-to-date information.

The 5050 telephone number is for University employees and students in the DC metropolitan area, including those at the Mount Vernon Campus. Information about the Virginia Campus is available by calling 703/726-8333.
