Fueling the Book Mobile

“Book Drive for Afghanistan,” a collaborative effort among GW’s Afghan Student Organization (ASO), Gelman Library System, the Student Association, and the Elliott School of International Affairs, is looking for a few good books to add to the nearly 3,000 books collected so far. Donations of college- level material written in English will be accepted throughout the spring semester at collection sites in Gelman Library, Mount Vernon’s Eckles Library, Himmelfarb Library, the Student Association office in the Marvin Center, and the Elliott School at 1957 E St.

According to Matthew Tisdale, Eckles Library outreach coordinator, “The books will first be delivered to the US Embassy in Kabul where the Afghan Reconstruction Group will oversee their distribution. The primary recipient will be the American University, which is currently under construction in Kabul.”
