Political Science Honors
A student with a GPA in 100 level Political Science classes of 3.8 or higher at the end of the semester prior to graduation automatically receives honor in the major.
A student whose GPA in 100 level Political Science classes is between 3.5 and 3.8 at the end of the semester prior to graduation can receive honors by writing a paper approved for honors by two members of the Political Science faculty. The paper is usually written in PSC 192.
The GPA in 100 level PSC classes is calculated using only PSC 100 level classes with no substitution classes and no transfer classes.
The designation of Honors appears on the student's transcript, not on the diploma.
