Background
Professor Lawrence specializes in American political institutions, legislative politics, public policy, and research methodology. His work has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, American Politics Review, Political Science Quarterly, and elsewhere. He has been a Brookings Research Fellow and is currently working on a collaborative NSF funded study of political parties in Congress.
