Admissions Information
Admission to the doctoral program is very competitive. Applications to begin study in the fall, including all supporting materials, are due in the University Admissions office by January 15 every year. Decisions are made in early March and students have until April 15 to respond. Application to our program must be made through the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. We do occasionally accept MA students into the program, particularly in American Politics. Students interested in an MA degree in international relations or comparative politics might want to investigate the large offerings at the Elliott School of International Affairs.
