[ER:]

In these houses your children can grow healthy and strong in body with a background which will make it possible for them to take full advantage of educational opportunities available and to become the citizens of the future who will constantly improve our civilization. I congratulate the housing authority, the mayor, the state, the federal, and the city authorities who are gathered here today on the completion of these first houses. May your hope for the future of this program be fulfilled and may your faith in the people of this city and of this nation be fully justified. Thank you.

[applause]
[Unknown speaker:]

Thank you, Mrs. Roosevelt
