Alumni Recognition Programs
The GW Alumni Association sponsors several annual awards programs to recognize the professional and volunteer achievements of GW graduates.
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award recognizes the professional achievements of alumni, and the Recent Alumni Achievement Award is given to graduates of the last 10 years who have attained notable achievements in their field of endeavor.
The Distinguished Alumni Service Award highlights the contributions made by alumni through service to the university. Additionally, the Jane Lingo Distinguished Alumni Service Award, implemented in 2007, is awarded annually to a faculty or staff member who is also an alumnus/a of the University, and who consistently advances the mission of the University through dedicated volunteer efforts in support of its programs.
The association also awards the GWAA Prize to one graduating student in each of the university's schools who has shown exceptional commitment to GW and its community.
