New Leadership for Volume 16 (2009)
Micah Elggren, MPP/JD candidate will be taking the helm of Policy Perspectives for the 2008-2009 academic year as its Editor-in-Chief. Lisa Pettibone, MPA candidate, will be the Managing Editor. Both Elggren and Pettibone served as associate editors on Volume 15. In addition to her editorial duties, Pettibone served as the Design Coordinator ushering in a new look for the journal.
Call for Submissions for Volume 16 (2009)
Policy Perspectives is now accepting submissions of student and alumni work for Volume 16. We are looking for pieces of original research and writing on a wide variety of topics such as social policy and welfare, transportation, health, elections and voting, the environment, human rights, law and policy, taxes, state and local governments, homeland security, international relations, urban and rural development, technology, and the military.
We are looking for research papers, economic analyses, cost-benefit analyses, policy proposals, and/or book reviews proposals.
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until Fall 2008. Please email your submission to polpersp@gwu.edu.
Call for Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor Positions for Volume 16
With the support of a staff of associate editors, the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor coordinate all facets of publication, from posting a call for manuscripts to selecting articles to creating and reviewing the layouts. Although the time commitment is demanding, the workload could easily managed by either a full-time or a part-time student.

Policy Perspectives Cosponsors a Health Policy Job Fair on March 13
If you can't make it to the Roosevelt Rx Health Policy Conference, MPP, MPH and PhD current students and alumni are welcome to come to the pre-conference networking reception on Thursday, March 13th from 7-9pm. Meet other interested students and employers!
The following organizations are also coming to the networking reception to meet students and recruit for open positions: Altarum Institute, AcademyHealth, Marwood Group, White Ribbon Alliance, Center for Economic and Policy Research, Avalere Health, Kaiser Family Foundation, The Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE), Congressional Budget Office, National Academy of Social Insurance, National Research Center for Women and Families, Medicare Rights Center, The Population Institute, Public-Works, Pediatrics AIDS/HIV Care, Inc., Roosevelt Institution, American Public Health Association--Student Assembly, and Association of American Medical Colleges.
The reception will be held at the Marvin Center's Third Floor Terrace. No RSVP required. Free light refreshments.
